Support
ChoreKeep is built and run by one independent developer in the United States. Email reaches a person, not a queue.
Contact support
Email [email protected] for anything — a bug, a billing question, a feature request, or help with your account. We reply to every message, normally within two business days.
You can also send a report from inside the app under Settings → Send Feedback, which attaches the screen you were on and saves you describing it.
To get a useful answer faster, include the email address on your ChoreKeep account, your device and OS version, and what you expected to happen instead of what did. Never send us your password — we will never ask for it.
Report content or a household member
ChoreKeep has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Every report is reviewed by a person.
Reports are fastest from inside the app, where they arrive with the context needed to act on them:
- Report Member — profile and avatar content. Open a member's actions from the household member list. The same menu lets you block that member, which hides them from your household view immediately.
- Report Household — household name, description, and photo. Open household options.
- Report Content — chore titles, descriptions, and completion notes. Available from a chore's detail screen and from activity items.
- Report Room — room names and icons, from the room screen.
We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours by removing the content and ejecting the user who provided it. Depending on what we find, that can also mean restricting a member's access to a household or suspending the account entirely. Reports involving threats, child safety, or illegal content are escalated to the appropriate authorities.
If you cannot reach the in-app action — for example, you have already left the household — email [email protected] with the household name and what you saw, and we will handle it on the same 24-hour footing.
Common questions
- I'm not getting reminders
- Reminders are push notifications, so they need permission at the system level and at the household level. Check that notifications are enabled for ChoreKeep in your device settings, then open Settings → Notifications in the app and confirm the reminder types you want are switched on. If a household is in Vacation Mode, reminders for paused members are suppressed on purpose until the pause ends.
- Someone can't join my household
- Invite codes are twelve characters and are entered without the dashes that appear as you type. Each person needs their own ChoreKeep account before joining. If the code is rejected, open Household Details and confirm you are reading the current code — regenerating a code invalidates the previous one.
- I forgot my password
- Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen and enter your account email. The reset link opens ChoreKeep directly. If you originally signed up with Google or Apple, use that same button to sign in — those accounts have no ChoreKeep password.
- I paid for Pro but don't have it
- Open Settings → ChoreKeep Pro and choose Restore. Purchases are tied to the store account that made them, so restore while signed in to that same Google account. If it still doesn't unlock, email us with your account email and we'll look it up.
- How do I cancel or change my subscription?
- Open Settings → Manage Subscription in the app, which takes you to the subscription controls for the store you bought from. You can also cancel from the Play Store's Subscriptions screen directly. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves Pro active until the period you already paid for ends. Deleting the app or your ChoreKeep account does not cancel billing.
- How do I delete my account?
- In the app: Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm. If you are the only administrator of a household that still has other members, hand administrator access to someone else first. The full picture — what is erased, what a shared household keeps — is on the account and data deletion page.
